About Us
For the past 100 years, the Indian Chamber of Commerce has been the place where vision meets dynamism, the motivation in which aspiration turns into action. The Indian Chamber of Commerce was established in December 1925 in Kolkata by a handful of trailblazing industrialists led by Shri Ghanshyamdas Birla (G.D. Birla) with the close supervision of Mahatma Gandhi. Established at a time when India's enterprise spirit was slowly awakening, the Chamber was formed to be the formal voice of indigenous Indian industry and to advocate on behalf of the nation's business interest during its journey toward independence.
Our Portfolio
As a Voice of Indian Industry
The ICC was where business met purpose, empowering dreamers to build factories, launch ships, break ceilings, and reach global markets. It was the courage and conscience of the Indian entrepreneur, both industrial by ambition and national by intention. Through decades of change—from freedom to globalization, from typewriter to AI, ICC has been the constant accelerator of India’s commercial journey. It has built policy, developed leadership, and redefined what Indian enterprise can do on the world stage.
